I only got back from my holidays in the Canaries on Monday.. I had planned to go to the gym today after work (havnt been in 10 days now).. Just as I was about to leave a crisis in work happens and now I am stuck here until about 7.. I cant go to the gym then as I have plans made at 9pm back home out in Blanch so I will just about make it home, have some dinner and get back out.

Im going mad I cant make my workout.. I was actually looking forward to it.. I suppose I am glad I am pi**ed off about it.. A lot of times in the past I would nearly be looking for an excuse not to go.. Anybody else ever get annoyed when they are psyched up to go for a workout and then for reasons out of your control you cant go?

Not the gym particularly but just activity in general.

yes I get annoyed and frustrated when I can't do whatever I planned. Sometimes life just gets in the way and I can actully handle that better than I used to. What I can't hack still is when I've overdone things and I make it to the gym but my body just does not want to perform. Frustrates the hell out of me.

I get a bit angsty when I don't make it.

I especially get pissed off if it happens a few times in a row, so that instead of three sessions per week I only make one. I'm a creature of routine anyway but I always worry about the gains I'm losing through not being able to go and it's always a relief when I get back and pack in a really tough session.

No physical activity for 2 days and I start to get edgy, 3 days grumpy, 4 days is a no go area.

Roll on 1pm for the next session.

Not any more to be honest - a day, a couple of days doesn't make any difference in the long scheme, and the extra rest can often be a good thing.

I'm of a certain vintage now that I've learned that there are so many more important things in life - its all about putting things in perspective.

    yeah I get pissed off.
I dunno why though. I am sure its some kind of withdrawl of serotonin or something.
I also get pissed off because I keep thinking of all my momentum being lost.

And sometimes if work gets crazy busy and I cant make the gym for a few weeks I find it very hard to get back in to it.

Yeah it really wrecks my head! I usually go 3-4 times a week and this week only got once. And the reason I didnt get to go is due to excessive alcohol intake! Lots of parties etc these days. So not only am I missing going to the gym, I'm drinking too much which makes me feel even worse! It really makes me mad and spend way too much time worrying about it!
