June Live GJP Drogheda Monthly Game.

    Hand1
150/300 Bald local guy(6k) whos known to play cards like a manic raises to 900 utg+1. Paul(15k) who likes rub down and carp talk calls two places behind local. Im next to act with JJ playing 9k with 4 players behind 3 of whom are conservative enough. Im not long at this table.
    What do you do?

    Hand2
200/400+25 Niall ‘The Poet’ Murphy(20k) limps utg. I(18k) complete the sb with 5h2h and a rock(23k) in the bb checks. Flop 2c5c8d. I check the rock bets 2k and Niall 'The Poet' after a dwell up raises to 6k.
    What do you do?

    Hand3
500/1000+100. The final table has just formed and Baz(23k) a local player ive never played with before but know to be a good player raises in the cut off to 4.5k folded to me(20k) in the bb with QsJs.
    What do you do?

    H1
Raise to 3.5 K. Call an all in from the first and fold to an all in from the second player.

    H2
Very tough spot. Read dependent. Can you assign the poet a draw, and the rock top pair?

I don’t think you can call here, since I don’t know what a safe turn card is.

You are drawing to only 4 outs if you need to improve, and any club, A,4,9,6, can complete a flush or straight, while your two pair could be counterfeited by a better 2 pair on the turn or river.

I just push, if someone has flopped a set or top 2 good luck to them, and you are ahead of anything else, but many strong players or tournament veterans prob. beg to differ on this hand, and might fold?

    H3
I fold and wait for a better spot, since calling is 40% of your stack, and raising is pure gambling.

H.1 as con said raise and call the first guy

H.2 i push the poet either has a 8 or maybe 99 imo

H.3 is an easy fold to baz

    H1 - Raise to 3.5k

    H2 - Probobly push

H3 - Definitely fold -- calling would be putting almost 1 quater of your stack in with a mediocre hand out of position. Pushing would be risky
