Certificats de Coutume question

I was just wondering if anyone here has had to apply for the Certificats de Coutume from an Irish Embassy while living abroad, and if so roughly how long did it take to come through?

Im living in finland and plan to get married in china, I sent off my form to the irish embassy here but they rang me back to tell me that my birth cert was not the original and that my local magistrate had left a field (which was named so vaguely that neither I or any of the officials in the office knew what they wanted).
Anyway the embassy said they checked it out with the Irish embassy in Bejing and the Bejing embassy will write the cert then send it to them and they will send it to me and that all I need is a better copy (or the original) cert and that form with the missing field sent back to them. It looks like everything else was grand and it just sounded like a formality. I guess the whole Beijing-Helsinki thing will delay it but I just wanted to see how long it normally takes anyway.

    Thanks
