any advice on what resort or travel company for a package.
Also any experiences people would like to share would be appreciated.

Try croatiatours.ie or concordetravel. Both specialise in holidays to that region. Also budget travel have package trips there. Your local travel agent should have plenty of brochures also for croatia etc. I'm going to dubrovnik in august :D . booked with concorde through my local agent.

I travelled to Croatia via Croatia Tours a few years ago and they are great, would strongly recommend what they call 'a two centre holiday'; I went to a little island calle Miljet for the first week and Dubrovnik for the second, great holiday.

The best way to see Croatia is Fly into Split a couple of days there, ferry to Hvar (you won't want to leave), ferry to Korcula and then onto Dubrovnik to ruond it off and fly out of there. I didn't pre-book anythin, just got on a bus into town and haggled for accomodation. Was easy and I didn't pay anymore than 30 for a night for 2 people all in good accomodation.

You will pay dop dollar for a travel package to Dubrovnik ( a place I feel is over rate - al it has is a big wall).

Like yourself, I was sick of package trips to Spain/Portugal and after this trip last year, I'd never do things another way.

Id recommend sorting out private accommodation and flights, instead of package deal. Works out much cheaper.

Check out; http://www.sutivanapartments.com/. Tis one apartment out in Croatia, on the island of Brac.

When I went out there you can fly direct with Air Lingus or chaper if you go via Ryanair to UK then from UK to Croatia with the likes of WizzAir.
