A 50cc engined bike, as far as I know theres no such thing. I could well be wrong but I think only scooters have 50cc engines. I think you would be better off getting a scooter or a 125cc bike like a honda NSR, or a 125cc engined cruiser like a Yamaha Dragstar/Honda Shadow/ Suzuki Marauder/Intruder. They dont cost much and the insurance is relatively cheap.

Can't really see any reason to buy a bike that small mate. You will be boared with it in no time.
There is a 50cc NSR out a city spares at the minute with a whopping 8 kilometees on the clock. The guy who bought it went for a spin roung his estate on it a was scared stiff afterwards apparently.

If possible get a 125cc (Varadero) otherwise your stuck with that NSR. Its not the worst but people will certainly hear you coming.

theres a yamaha tzr50, honda nsr50, cagiva mito 50, aprillia rs50.. etc.. and theyre all group 2 insurance wise (presume thats why you want it?)

some nsr125's are group 2 also (they need to be restricted, otherwise theyre ~group 7 I believe   ), as are all nsr80/75's.

The 2 stroke equilivent of the varadero, the yamaha tdr125 is also worth considering.

varadero xl125 as mentioned above, and the hyosung gt125r are also group 2, but both are 4 strokes so will be a little easier on you maintence wise.

cruiser style ya got the marauder, intruder, and eliminator, but I dont know much about them, again all 4 strokes.

cg125, ybr125, tw125 are just a few more 4 strokes to look at, and definately worth while considering ;)

think thats all the group 2 bikes of note! have a look around and try and find out as much as possible about em (and try and sit on one before setting your heart on it ;) )

Any particular reason it has to be a fifty? If its not a 49cc automatic scooter, its going to be rated as group 2 (aon) or higher anyway, so you may as well have a GZ125 or TW125 or something, as mentioned above. Your usage will also be a deciding factor. A 50cc bike wont be suitable for regular long trips, and youll get sick to your teeth of it anyway.

The 50cc sports replicas (TZR, NSR) are perfect for parking and posing, but theyre basically a souped up scooter anyway.

Haha believe it or not this is what i want. A TZR.. i think... A fella i know had one. Apart from the fact that it was smaller than a normal bike and sounded like **** it looked the part. I need it for a 5 miles journey in and out to work. And one of my huge questions would be could it travel 50miles and not blow up. The fella with the (what i think is a) TZR could travel this 50 mile journey with no bother. So i need something cheap, small engined, that would get me too a fro work and a 50 miles (each way) journey at the weekend.

I saw this on the net but no idea if it it actually 50cc

As i plan to make the move very soon, i need as much help as possible, as soon as possible!!!
    Thanks!!!

TBH you really shouldn'y bother with something that small. I started out on a NSR125. Nice bike and all that but within 3 months i was looking for something bigger......
    Just something to consider.....

Stupidly i didn't and i can see a future of biking for me. i love cars but the sister and her bf have just added to their collection. They now have three bikes. And the power out of a bike is ABSOLUTELY nothing in comparison to any car. I'm just hopin i don't have to do the test again, althought i intend doing in for the truck and bus anyway in a few years to come.
