Folks need your advice on this one,

For some reason my PC is awful noisy. Here's all the applications I have running at the moment.

For some reason also I cant use Windows Update, the computer goes all slow and I cant continue with what I'm doing without having to close the update window. It doesnt even go to the point of allowing me select the updates I want. It just keeps searching. It sounds as if its working overtime also.

The machine I have is a Dell Dimemsion 3000 and its about 2.5 yrs old.

It looks like you have two anti virus programs, chuck McAffee for a start.
