My inter-rail plan

Me and four friends are going to go inter-railing in about 4 days,
we are starting in Madrid and have 22day tickets,
the plan is to go from Madrid,
    to San Sebastian,
    to Bordeaux,
    to Marseille via Toulouse,
    to Cannes,
and either on to Turin, Milan, Florence then Rome or
on to Genoa on to Pisa and then to Rome,
From Rome to Bari where we'll get a ferry to Greece,
    Go to Athens,
then get a ferry to Istanbul,
and possibly up towards Hungary and that,

I think we wont get past Istanbul, but my friends are optimistic,
my main stops will be Bordeaux, Rome, Athens and Istanbul,

So do you think we'll make it,
any advice on other things to see or any advice in general to do with inter-railing?

With the number of places mentioned in your previous post, you won't have even one full day in each place. Do you really want to spend the whole time on trains?

I would advise cutting that list to shreds and picking 4 or 5 places max.
