Hi, I'm looking for an external HDD and have seen all kinds of recommendations for various brands and models but the one issue that I have about it the potential for overheating. Am I right in saying that plastic casing, non-fan types are not the Mae West and alloy casing with fan-assisted cooling is the best. Any size over 200GB and any power options suit me, I just want the thing to stay at the decent temp.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
