Hi, I wondered if it would be possible to purchase a copy including plans of a planning application that was granted 2 years ago?
I came across info of a site that I could purchase but cant and havent got time to track down owner. The address he used when applying has a new couple living in it. I just wondered is it too far back?

I don't know about Meath, but in Donegal, a 2 year old application would be available on line.

Thank you for the reply, I understand your point but I wanted to see the plans of the house and the granted conditions, etc. Online will only give me a brief note and the amount of conditions but will not explain them

My local cc posted back the unused copies of the plans a few months after the application was granted, but I believe they retained at least two copies.
I think that all "live" applications are available for viewing at the local office.

Old (more than five years) are then archived off and may need a written application & fee to view.

Suggest you contact the applicant's agent (if possible) for plans.

All correspondence is available online in full. Everything the applicant submits or is sent is shown in full. There are other things online that you can otherwise only see by going to the planning office such as EHO/EE/Roads reports as well as any objections.

Sorry smashey but I have to disagree in part with what you said.

Some county councils still do not have a full online system for viewing planning applications so it is down to which county you are in or are interested in. So theres a good chance that the OP may be able to view the permission details only and not the plans, maps, correspondence etc.

Objections are put up online if the full file is available online also and reports from EHO's, engineers etc become available for viewing only after a decision has been made which applies to the hard copy of the file also.

    Grand day sir ;)

I dont really know if you can buy them retrospectively but in a way I dont see why why not either.

Phone the local planning dept and they will inform you. A lot of Councils have different policies (and different fees) for such cases.

    You're creating a scene. :D

    I was referring to Donegal.

    Grand day indeed.

If you can find the relevant application online and get the application number its straightforward to request a viewing of the actual paperwork. If you havent got all the details and they have to search for you, I think a fee applies.

You should be able to get copies of anything on the file for a nominal fee.

    Gluck!

Once the file is still available, even if archived, and available to view it, you can make a copy of anyprt you need. Even kildare allows this, who are still using an offline system.

Thank you for all the replies, this site is in Meath and only certain info is available online. I will contact the local office, thanks again.
