Sony XL, MCE and NTL Digital cable - no win?

Just wanted to double check before driving myself into further madness: following hours of enquiry and cable twiddling, can someone please confirm/deny that it is NOT possible to view digital cable content thorugh NTL Pace STB through MCE with all associated EPG, PVR etc functionality? It would also appear that VISTA is no help with this - based as it is on a US-only CableCard system. Am I wrong in any of this? Thanks!

If you are using NTL digital, you need to have the composite video from the scart output on your set top box as the input to your tv card. You can't skip using the set top box to decode. Well not legally or easily.

In the Vista UI when setting up your guide, select Cable Digital, NTL Dublin and all channels are found automatically for your EPG.

Please do not request information that you know is (debatably or otherwise) illegal on boards.ie either via a thread or PM.
