If he finishes top three in this he will have finished top three in every omaha tourney this year, quite a sick little run.

he won the omaha side event at the Irish Open and came second in the Omaha event at the Aussie Millions, seems to be on a good run at it

be nice to see him take down a bracelet

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 497 ✭✭gilmour

yeah was just about to mention his omaha run lately, he took the big end of a 5 way chop in Australia when he was a big cl, then the irish open win. Come one a 2nd irish bracelet.

    Player Down!!!

Andy Black Eliminated in 11th Place ($43,365)

On the first hand after the break, Andy Black was busted out by Humberto Brenes. Brenes was holding AQQ2 vs Blacks KT98 board came J5443 to send Andy to the rail.

Andy seemed to have been pretty inactive and card dead for the past couple of hours. Still a great result and continuing his fantastic run in omaha events this year..

    Well Done Andy!

thats a pretty mean final table.

would like to see Williamson take it down.... he kills the omaha game

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

Williamson just doubled up Brenes.. Williamson down to 190k, Brenes up to over 300k!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,141 ✭✭✭ocallagh

god i hope brenes doesn't win it.

fair play to andy, his omaha game seems to be as good as his holdem game now! he was also one of the highest combined placers (not earners) last year in both Omaha Hi Lo events, he was still learning the basics the night before!

Andy was in for 35k so only made a profit of 6k or so. Still yet another deep run in this years series after the Stud 8/Omaha 8 where he was out just before the money.

He seemed very pissed off about something in his video interview with pokernews, and that was when he had all his chips, wonder what he was like after getting knocked out.

Chip counts and seats for the final 9 in $5000 rebuy PLO

    Seat 1: Humberto Brenes - 275,000
    Seat 2: John Juanda - 220,000
    Seat 3: Larry Jonsson - 900,000
    Seat 4: Minh Ly - 240,000
    Seat 5: Burt Boutin - 460,000
    Seat 6: Rob Keston - 335,000
    Seat 7: Sirous Jamshieli - 865,000
    Seat 8: Dave "Devilfish" Ulliott - 1,300,000
    Seat 9: Erik Cajelais - 1,075,000

Erk Cajelais went on a great run last night to get the chip lead at one stage with $1.6million chips. But "Devilfish" who has had the chip lead or not been out of the top two for mayn hours of play now has re-gained his dominance of the table. He could have been in danger when he doubled up Sirious Jamshieli but he kept his cool and continued to gather chips as he has been doing since the start of play on Day 2.

Should be a great final table. I personally hope John Juanda gets back into it and its him and The Fish heads up!!!

God I hope Humberto Brenes has a stroke on ESPN and I get to watch him grasp the side of the table and then dramatically, let go. I will play it over and over in slow motion.

*ahem*, sorry where were we? Oh yes, hell of a run for Andy but look at the quality on that table! Devilfish really IS good at omaha, almost as good as he thinks he is... John Juanda, probably the best reader in the game, Minh Ly a serial final tabelist.... Humberto Brenes, um dying, yeah would be a good table to rail!

He is my 2nd favourite player after Eric Molina!

only a few hours into the 2k NL event and Andy has built a sizeable stack already, how exactly does this man manage to do this consistently? Since the series started he has got off to a flyer in nearly every event he has played.

edit - just as i posted that he lost half his stack within the past half hour :D

I see Tony G owns poker news and was having a go at cardplayer for "stealing" his updates.

Aside from Brenes, Tony G is the most annoying dick in the world. In close 3rd place are cardplayer. I don't care who wins.

    lol from cardplayer

    Always the Professional
Humberto Brenes is showing why he is such a fan favorite. With the other players on break, Brenes is standing next to the final table posing for pictures and shaking hands with fans. The crowd is already clearly in his favor, and the generosity with his time will only make them louder.

    What a man
