    Hi all,

I bought an item form usa with buy it now, I received the package about a week or so later but the wrong size item was sent.

Since then I have sent the item back and been refunded but I'm down a few euro due to them refunding me the dollar price instead of euro for return postage, should I give negative feedback?

This is the first mishap I've had so not sure.

    Thanks,
    Neil.

Well, whatever about the conversion loss, the seller still sent a wrong item and you paid for his mistake. I would give negative feedback after receiving correct item.

Neutral would be probably the best bet here, yes he made a mistake but he did refund you. A lot, and I mean a lot of seller's wouldn't even entertain that idea and force you down the claims route with eBay and PayPal. The loss through exchange rates would not be his fault and if you brought it to his attention he may even offer you the difference back.

Personally I wouldn't punish a seller with negative feedback for making a mistake, provided I thought it was genuine. Always give them a chance to correct it. In this case tell them about the postage and see how they respond. If they are nice and apologetic about it and refund you the difference, AND you get the correct item quickly then I'd still give positive. But anything less and they deserve neutral/negative. Two mistakes in a row isn't good.

What's the rest of their feedback like? Have other buyers had problems with them?

    Thanks for the advice.

They are not sending the correct item but refunding me for the purchase I made. If I want the correct one I'll have to make a new purchase.

They have over 12000 feedback with 99.9% positive, I think I'll just leave neutral and say they refunded me.

    Thanks,
    Neil.

Yeah neutral is fair considering you didn't get the item in the end.
