Cant seem to find my DS lite charger. Of course I have my DS charger, SP charger, GBA charger and I am pretty sure I know where my game boy colour charger is but of course I cant find my DS lite charger:mad:

Anyone know where I can pick one up in Dublin city centre(preferably Grafton street), that wont cost an arm and a leg? They seem to be like golddust:rolleyes: They dont have them in Game, HMV, or Argos:(

If you get stuck and have a pc/xbox etc with a usb port you could always charge the ds with one of those mini usb cables like you get with some digital cameras etc.

    :o

Apologies, I thought that worked but I just checked out the cables and they are a touch different. I thought they were the same because the power supplied was the same (half an amp at five volts).

They do those usb-type charger cables on ebay though. Because the power delivery is the same it would charge the ds just as fast as a proper charger.

Thought they were the same myself, imagine my frustration when I realised the cable is a tiny bit too small:mad:

I bought one of those cables of ebay-worked a treat. Cost GBP1, GBP2 delivery = total of EUR5.
I have a USB/3 pin adaptor that I bought in Smyths for an IPOD previously. Cost about EUR8. Just hook the cable up this, and into the socket. No need to turn on pc.
Also use that to charge my SatNav, without connecting to PC.

Dealextreme are damn cheap for this stuff.
3rd party plug-in charger with Uk/Irish plug for $3.58 (dollars!) - free delivery!
And if you're really tight, they have the USB charger cables for $2.38.

I know you wanted it from a shop but on top of the stores you mentioned, a friend has tried 4 branches of Smyths in the last week looking for one. No joy. Shows you the level of backup service you get here.

Those other chargers you've mentioned... think I remember hearing that an older Nintendo charger also works on the DS. No?

The DS lite and DS phat have different sized charger ports. Quite annoying that.
