I'm trying to sell my scooter after moving to a real motorbike.

I've posted in Buy and Sell, and adverts.ie

Anywhere else I should post it?

Is it worth trying to bring it to a bike shop and getting them to buy it? or will they give me just enough for a few pints!

I've been told that Bikebuyersguide.ie is the best place to advertise. However, I think this may cost €60 per advert. Maybe someone else can confirm or correct?

You could also put it up on www.donedeal.ie for €2 but I am not sure what response you would get.

What type of scooter is it?

Well I bought my scooter through buyandsell.ie If its in good nick of course a shop will take it from you but you'll get more bucks from private sale.

its looks a clean bike but those habana's are a bit of an aquired taste, if ya know what i mean. so that bike would have a particlular kind of market.

Shouldnt be to hard to sell, i dont think they make them anymore?

As regarding selling it to a shop they would propably offer you 700. I know this because I used to work in a bike shop in town and seen the people coming in selling them when they need to get cash up quick.

Lets hope I get a bit more than 700 for it...

I imported it directly from the UK because they didn't make them anymore.

yeah i know 700 is only what the traders would offer, coz there gona want to make a nice profit. Try J.P Motorcycles on pierse street, they buy them for cash all year round.

Even if ya dont sell it to them, just get a rough price so ya know wot a trader will offer ya.

best of luck with the sale anyway.

From my experience bbg.ie is by far the best. Paid 50 euro to do it but calls flooded in then. You only get proper calls too because only respectable people tend to buy the mag or go online i guess.

www.Gumtree.ie is also good. free too.
