    hello all,
there is what seems to be a genuine bargain on a US tele, not highway one. it's chrome red and there's only one bid on it. the rest of the teles are being bid on but not this? anyone explain why? is it an undesirable colour or something? time is of the essence- bidding ends at 4ish

There is only one bid which is perfectly understandable. Bidding before the auction ends only drives up the price and, thankfully, people are beginning to realise it is better to be the highest bidder when the auction actually ends than during the days leading up to it. There should be a bit of action before it ends, expect it to finish up well over £400, despite it being open only to UK residents.

Nice looking Tele IMHO but I'm not an expert. As regards the lack of feedback I would ask him a question (or questions) and see how he responds. If he seesm in any way less than open and honest let it pass. (not much time left for this).
Also follow Dr Js excellent advice and do not place any bid until less than one minute before the auction ends, otherwise you are just driving up the price.
You can use auctionsniper.com to do this in an automated way (I thinks its free for the first few auctions).
