Ive just reinstalled windows XP tonight but have run into trouble activating windows.
It says the number of times windows can be activated using the current key has expired.
WTF?This is the first ive ever come across this.
Ok ive maybe reinstalled windows 4 times since i got this pc 2 years ago,i like to do every 6 months or so.
Its a genuine disc with genuine key, never had a problem before.

I cannot fully update windows to SP2 until i validate and therefore cannot install the right amd dual core drivers ive always used at it promps looking for SP2 when i try to install..

Is there anything i can do folks?

Phone them up and explain your situation. the number is on the activation screen.

It should be no problem, I've had to do it before for customers.
