I was watching one of the episodes from season 2, the one documenting the survivors of the tail section, and the bit where Goodwin justified breaking Nathan's neck to Ana-Lucia on the grounds that he "wasn't a good person" seemed particularly interesting in light of the recent season. According to Ben, Naomi was "one of the bad guys" so does anyone think Nathan might be similarly dodgy?

    According to Lostpedia:
Nathan cannot be proved to be a survivor of Oceanic Flight 815. He was not present at the crash site, but was also not seen to be sent by Ben to investigate the tail crash site.

I don't see why Goodwin would kill Nathan without the consent of Ben so was Nathan perhaps viewed as representing Dharma like Naomi?

No. They haven't made a big enough fuss over his death or shown it in any 'other' flashbacks to indicate this is true. Not a bad question though.
