    You would swear that if it were not for the Provo campaign, there wounld not be attacks on the invading armies in Iraq & Afghanistan. Very much clutching at straws from Cusack again.

    well in a way its truein a way, its an old storey apart from our 'neutral' troops doing the anti--ied work in afghanistan course the theory is the biritish gave the paramilitaries the know in the first place...

    How some of his material is published is beyond me. This had to be a story he had sitting on some shelf for a week that he couldnt come up with another exclusive on ira/sf.

    sounds like big interesting story, about how the fake euros and criminal moving into property development but its all about some dead IRA guy instead.

    this undermines the whole article "Senior garda officers are satisfied that the scam was not linked to a previous scheme by the Provisionals to launder some of the €38m from the Northern Bank robbery."

    I dunno I don't read much of the crime stories, I guess I think there are bigger dangers about then these people I probably won't have contact with.

    You read about say the raid in clare where they got all this drug money but it seems so unreal and humdrum and I guess the gardai don't actually get much credit when they seize this stuff, I don't if its because of they way its reported, the sweep on drug dealers in tallaght and the boardwalk last week didn't make much impact, I guess cos you unlikely to get only locals to talk about what impact that has had out of fear so your just left with tabloid hacks like Williams and Cusack who constantly massage and involved themselves in their stories.
