if you can't find reasonable accomodation in dublin city center, just follow the bus routes and find accomodation outside of the city and get yourself monthly bus tickets (they're cheaper with your student card)...

Depending on which DIT there are loads of options. If you're looking at Kevin St. or Aungier St. you've got the whole LUAS greenline to look at for accomodation. Plus places like Ranelagh and Rathmines are wee student enclaves that are within walking distance.

As Frankiestylee has said there are plenty of options for accommodation for DIT students though the situation is less than ideal. If you're having trouble contact the SU as they are always happy to help prospective students find somewhere to live. The offices will be manned throughout the summer so you should be able to pop into the SU on any site during working hours.

I'd say your first port of call though should be Aimee O'Callaghan in Student Affairs, she's usually on 4024510 failing that call Hamid the VP for Academic & Student Affairs on 0866031075 and he should be able to help you out.

Hamid doesn't head anywhere until the first of July, even when he does move on though the number will remain the same you'll just get the new VP rather than the old one!
