Would I be right in thinking that most modern dvd players support all regions and will play region 1 disks?

A fair few have the ability to be unlocked via a code or some sort of firmware upgrade.

    Thanks Ruu,

If my dvd player has played some region 1 dvds, does that mean that it will play others, or is it pot luck?

johnnyskeleton, PM me your make and model, and I'll see if it can be unlocked. Have unlocked al of my DVD players, the latest by opening up the disc tray, pressing 0 0 0 0 and then putting the tray back in. No extra gizmo's or firmware needed!
