Guys, I have a usb wall charger for my satnav system that charges through the mains in 2 hours rather than 6 via the pc, is it possible/safe to use this usb charger for charging my other devices that charge via usb? I'm basically wondering are all usb chargers the same voltage?

    Thanks

They should all be 5v so yes, as long as you check they are 5v and not 12v you should be ok..............saying that if the satnav is for use in the car it is prob 12v (IIRC USB also has a 12v option)so double check.

USB spec sets a max power rating of 2.5 watts. Their is no 12v option in usb 2.0 spec. I find it odd that its charging in two hours which means the wall socket is more then likely supplying 1 - 2 amps of current which wouldn't do battery life any good.
