Forgive me Im im ignorant here but you guys are usually on the ball for these type of things....

I have an old analogue satellite system and dish (large dish) I use in order to get Eurosport. I am considering upgrading to a Free to Air system in order to get BBC/UTV etc. I’m told I would need a FTV card to get CH4 as well. I also want RTE/TV3 etc set up either via an aerial or some other method

Q1. Will the existing Dish be enough to get me Eurosport through the analogue decoder and can the dish be also used for the new Free to air system. Do I need to upgrade it in some way or simply purchase a new Digital decoder for free to air?

Q2. Does it have to be a Sky Digital decoder to get Ch4 through with a UK FTV card along with Free to Air?.

Q3. How can I set up the TV viewing system with 2 decoders and terrestial all at the same time. Would I need some type of switch box in order to have in affect three systems running

    Thanks

The Analogue Eurosport and BBC/UTV come from different places in the sky so you either need 2 dishes, an arm with two LNBs (0nly for 80cm or larger dishes) or a toriodal dish with multiple LNBs.

Only a Sky Receiver works with a FTV card. However C4 may be Free To Air next year.

A SCART switch box starts at £10. Some don't do RGB or Widescreen switching.

You can loop the RF out /in modulators on the Sky box and the analogue box. Many FTA only boxes only have SCART.

If you use the current dish for BBC/ITV instead of Eurosport Analogue, it needs moved. The LNB on the arm may or may not be compatible.
