The paranormal awards will take place during the 2007 Ghost World Conference in Gettysburg during an event hosted by the Weird NJ founders and the History Channel's Weird U.S. co-hosts, Mark Sceurman and Mark Moran. The objective is to honor people and organizations who are making contributions to the field of paranormal research.

"After a six-week nomination process on our Web site, we are now offering up the top five nominees in each category for the public to vote on," said L'Aura Hladik, one of the founding partners of Ghost World, LLC. "In addition to categories that include the best evidence collected, best paranormal broadcast and best paranormal book, we're also including a lifetime achievement award. This year we're honoring: Brad Steiger, Dr. Hans Holzer and Art Bell. Our Web site visitors will decide which pioneer takes the lifetime achievement award this year."

The voting categories include: Best Paranormal Book of 2006, Best Paranormal Research Web site of 2006, Best Ghost Hunting Organization of 2006, Best Ghost Evidence of 2006 and Best Paranormal Broadcast of 2006. Voting is available online at: www.ghostworldconference.com/vote and will continue through July 1st, 2007. The winners will be announced during a special ceremony at this year's conference.

Its well worth giving this the time to look at the nominees and vote!
