i bought a VOiP Phone today and signed up with voipcheap, bought 10 Euro credit.
when i try to make a call it wants the number of my VOiP Phone and the destination number.i wasn't aware of this when i signed up,if i'd known i wouldn't have bothered because the phone i bought doesn't seem to have any number.i thought you just needed to put in the number of the Phone you're calling.
does anyone know how i can get the number of my VOiP Phone or is there another way around this problem?

    cheers

i think the software is looking for you to input a number, so when you ring whoever, a number will appear on their caller ID. So, you could input your mobile num or landline and if the person you are calling needs to ring you back, they have a number to contact you on.

i did that but instead of the call being made through the VOiP Phone my Mobile started ringing.when i answered i got a dialling tone-it was dialling the number i wanted to contact through my Mobile.
that's why i'm convinced they're looking for the number of my VOiP Phone.
sorry now i didn't just go with skype,it was the offer of free local calls that swayed me towards voipcheap

you used a wrong text box.what happened was ur mobile rang and when you pick ur mobile, it was supposed to ring the other person.

dont use that screen, it is useful only if u dont have a voip phone

apparently providers like voipcheap are only for people with broadband through a landline.when your calling someone you put the number of your landline in the first box and the number your trying to call in the second box.
signed up with skype yesterday and that's working perfectly, should've just went with them in the first place

Not true! I have wireless broadband and use VoipStunt, no problems! there is a box like that on their webpage too. But once you download the software, there is no such issue. and I dont have a landline.

I think these services are perfectly suited to wireless broadband. Infact fabolous with a landline.
