I booked a couple of lessons before the A1 test I have in August. The instructor said the test is a 'piece of piss' and no-one ever fails.

    Any thoughts, advice etc?

First piece of advice: fire that instructor. What kind of tosser is he, and is he from a recognised outfit? If so, time to name names.........

Ride right, and you'll pass. Ride like you don't give a ****, and I can guarantee you that you won't..........

Like another v.well know bike instructor who advised a friend of mine to take the restrictor of his bike 'as no-one checks them anyway....' Assholes like that, we can do without...........

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

The instructor might have been giving you the Vote of Confidence - which is important for "sitting" the test.

If you are confident in your abilities then you will perform better - that's the idea.

However, Passing is most certainly not guaranteed.

Like Galway says, take it handy, ride safe and you deserve to pass regardless of whether it is a piece of piss easy or not.
