The international ticket collection point will not be in Shepton Mallet this year aparently and will now be at the Bath and West Showground:

    http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/information/index.asp?id=232

The showground is on the wrong side of the site though in relation to the airport so anyone gettin taxis from there might want to make use of the shuttle bus from the festival site bus station instead of sitting in the traffic for an hour with the taxi meter running.

I have also seen some rumours about a ticket resale happening at 9am on the 3rd June to get rid of the last few returned coach and regular tickets.

So anyone still after a ticket keep an eye on http://www.seetickets.com/g2007 around that time as they will go quickly.

    Mail received.
A small number of returned tickets will be put on sale online on Sunday June 3rd starting at 9am.

The sale will be open to anyone with a valid registration number. Your registration number is 999999999

Both standard weekend tickets for the Festival and cancelled coach and ticket packages will be on sale.

The coach ticket packages involve travel on Wednesday, so check out that you can travel then. If you buy the combined package, Festival tickets will only be issued during the coach journey.

The link for the sale will be http://www.seetickets.com/g2007 and will not be available until Sunday 3rd at 9.00am.

Don't like the sound of this. Makes things more awkward now :(
Where will get beer from is the big question! We were planning on getting the taxi driver to stop in Shepton mallet while we stocked up like we always do, dont know about that now.

You would probably still be going through Shepton though, there are not all that many routes that the taxi could take between the airport and the Bath and West I think. You are pretty much guaranteed to get stuck in traffic several times though as you'll have to get past the site before you can get to pick up the tickets and if you go through Pilton you'd be going past two entraces before you get there and then back again to get to the main pedestrian gate.

Would have made more sense to have the ticket collection in the arrivals hall of the airport probably.

it's a pain alright. I was thinking of doing the above with the taxi and then getting a shuttle bus from the collection point to the festival site but the only thing I am wondering about is getting back to Bristol Airport on the Monday evening. (Flight back is early Tuesday morning)

This is a reason why I was thinking of biting the bullet and hiring a car in Bristol airport and enduring the traffic on Monday evening getting out and knowing that it'll take ages to get out of the place but a least we'll know we have a way back to Bristol. (As well as that we can stock up the car with a load of gear going down too)

Any thoughts on this? How are people getting taxis down to collection point getting back to Bristol after festival as i guess it'll be near impossible getting a taxi back?

Theres National Express buses going from the site back to Bristol on Monday. £8. Running every hour up to 3.30. You'll need to book them on their website.

We're going to get a taxi from the airport. stop at a supermarket somewhere and get beer. i don't think there'll be too much traffic as the Bath & West is a couple of miles from the site and on a main road.

There is not a problem getting a bus back to bristol on the Monday. In 2005 our flight home was at 4pm and we got to to the airport in time fine, that even included loads of messing about. We got up around 8am and went straight to the bus car park. The queue to get on the bus was around an hour and then bus took about 2/3 hours then the bus from Bristol to the airport was another hour. We had tickets already but I remember they were selling them anyway for the many people who had probably lost them over the weekend.
