Has anyone heard of or listened to this band?? I listened to their album a week or so ago and its standard of songwriting is spectacular!!!! The first 2 songs are 15mins ish long and the 3rd is half an hour.

I think Godspeed are awesome Not what I'd call "songwriters" though. They've made some very cool instrumental atmospheric tracks, some nice sample-based stuff too.

I agree the band is unbelievable. The arrangements are so well done and they architect massive soundscapes!

They dont play songs. Thats the whokle point of them.

They have about 5 albums now I think.

The best is the Ep they did not long after the infinity album. Slow riot to new zero i think its called.

they put out an album called lift your skinny fists to heaven like little antennas - or something like that which i didnt think was anywhere near as good so i stopped listening after that.

theyre a bit "old news" now i have to say.

but if you like them check out theyre side projects and other bands on the same label. Do Make Say Think are excellent and defo worth getting into.

Fly Pan Am toured with Godspeed some years ago when they played the TBMC. Theyre quite good too. I bought one of them a beer because he let me in for free!

Brilliant band!! I have 5 of their albums, none of which are self titled, i shall have to try and find their self titled album now.
