what's the correct procedure

    All players are dealt their two cards, all players have acted except the BB, dealer starts to turn the flop, couple of players have seen 1 card from flop (including the BB), one player has seen 2 of the flop, BB notifies dealer he has not acted. BB checks,

    what happens next

    5. If the dealer burns and turns before a betting round is complete, the card(s) may not be used, even if all subsequent players elect to fold. Nobody has an option of accepting or rejecting the card. The betting is then completed, and the error rectified in the prescribed manner for that situation.

    7. If the flop needs to be redealt because the cards were prematurely flopped before the betting was complete, or the flop contained too many cards, the boardcards are mixed with the remainder of the deck. The burncard remains on the table. After shuffling, the dealer cuts the deck and deals a new flop without burning a card.

    That sounds right. im not sure about the burn cards. Ive seen these left on the table and mixed back into the deck. Not sure which is correct.

    You have to deal a new flop. The 3 flop cards that were put out prematurely have to go back into the stub to be reshuffled. First though you should put out the turn and river cards and the second and thrid burn cards face down in the order they would have been dealt.

    Once you have done that the dealer reshuffles the stub while the BB acts on his hand and once the preflop betting is complete you can deal a new flop. Where i get confused is whether or not you need to burn a card again before dealing the flop. I don't tihnk you do.

    Correct. You don't burn before dealing hands either. This is because the deck is freshly shuffled.
