Yeah top marks, hopefully they can keep it up. I thought it was gonna be like Badly Dubbed Porn but thankfully it was a million times better. They actually managed to over dub it quite well. I think the 10 mins works better than if they were to do a 30 min show.

I like Barry Murphy's weird sense of humour.

This is pretty much an expanded version of what he and Mark Doherty wrote for the Time Trumpet series, isn't it?

Took me a few minutes to get into the swing of it but I think I'll be staying put after the Sopranos every week to have a watch.

That was hilarious, funniest thing RTE have put out in years. Anyone know if it's being repeated or if there are clips of it up on the RTE website or anything?

...or maybe somebody might stick it on Youtube?

It was absolutely brilliant! "I've got to take the horse to France!" - classic stuff

Missed it. Let us know if it's repeated or if it hits you tube.

He's the guy from Cheers that likes a drink.

Its basically 10 minutes of a well known (in Poland) Polish soap (like their Fair City I guess), but its dubbed in English and is "set" in Cork and Dublin. Mario Rosenstock is involved in it - the guy behind the Gift Grub sketches on Today FM. Its very funny.

Ah right, I remember hearing about that.

    I prefer Bazmo*'s description though.

Yeah but it's not written by him. Barry Murphy and Mark Doherty are the real men behind it - check out the sketch they did for Armando Ianoucci's (sp?) show Time Trumpet which was this idea in shorter form about a publisher in Athlone. Great stuff.

Although I'm partial to anything that they do - I even liked Couched!

Didn't really watch the first couple of minutes of this last week cos I presumed it was just another crap RTE attempt at comedy and just left it on in the background, but gradually it got my attention - and I'm glad, because it was brilliant, genuinely funny stuff. Hope it's as good this week.

Caught most of this last night , missed the start , thought it was very funny and very well done . Will be keeping an eye out for it in future . Missed last weeks one :(

    Missed both episodes - damn.
Wasn't expecting much of this when I heard the idea, but I kind of mis-understood it (thought it was a spoof Polish soap opera that would just play on some stereotypes).
Like the Time Trumpet skit and will have to check it out - it seems as though they might show them on the RTÉ website (just by the way the programme page is set up), but no links yet

Brilliant, really funny 'do that thing with your eyes', have never laughed so much at an rte programme!

Another brilliant episode. My only concern about the show is if they're planning on showing the same sequence each week with the drunk Soupy Norman character but with different voice overs. They had it in last week's episode, last nights one, and the teaser for next week looked like it was there again. That will get annoying.

In addition to The Sopranos episode I recorded on thursday, was this show.
I laughed my head off. It's excellent. :D

"Soupy" is the best thing on RTE for YEARS, it's absolutely hilarious! The only thing that made me laugh as much was when "Fawlty Towers" aired originally.
