Jeremy was a great friend and trainer to me when I was training for 4 summers in California. Lifts to training, fights, beach etc were never a problem and always went out of his way to help out people with their game. If you get the chance you should check out some of his KOTC fights particularly one in the rain vs Yves Edwards. An awesome amabssador for the sport and an unbelievable teacher in the mold of Chris Brennan who gave Jeremy his blackbelt 2 years ago. Running a successful jiu jitsu school Apexjiujitsu and the father of two young girls, Jeremy had everything to live for unfortunately he suffered from depression and tragically took his own life 3 weeks ago. Its the second time I have lost a friend to depression and unfortunately its just one of those things that gets pushed under the carpet and is little understood by those who have no experience of it. I would urge anyone and it affects a lot of people to confide in a family member, friend or GP, or AWARE, if you think you might be suffering from it, and dont try and deal with it on your own.

Jeremy's career was just starting to take off again and Chris' nogi company was supplying his fight and school shirts. If you would like to help out Jeremy's widow and two daughters, of the money from the sale of the shirts at www.nogi.com goes straight to them. NG ireland has already bought a bunch., but every little helps.
