This is simply a hypothetical question, as i think the best discussion comes from threads where results arent included and people take forward what the most profitable line is.

    anyway first hand:

    5-10 effective stacks 1000
Full ring game, first hand, its live.
You are in the Big Blind with AA. there is a raise before you from the cut-off to 40, and you repop it to 120. Villan calls. Without thinking you check in the dark -
Flop is KKQ. Villain bets 220, you do what?

Same question Irish Open, effective stacks are 20,000 blinds are 200-400, raised to 1600 you repop to 5000. Villain bets 8500, you?

First hand on both tables, and you have no reads. what is standard here?

well dont check in the dark in the first place

call both and c/f the turn is the best line in general. Raise more in both cases, especially the second hand 3500 is far too small, I would make it 5k

Why call the flop though, if you will check fold the turn arent you losing money like this? you think most villains bet AQ type holdings but dont bet kings? by calling on flop are not fairly close to being pot committed on the turn? edit it to 5K
ive edited the flop bet too Valor in the tournament hand, opinion still the same?

If you call the flop most people will check behind on the turn unless they have you beat, and its hardly going to be profitable to start check folding aces on the flop.

not on most flops but on that flop?

i also thought about this hand, and if someone pushed dark after you checked dark, and he had called you raise, surely this is the only flop where you could fold. Because big pair and Kings are a big part of someones range then you are often behind.

I'd probably just call dark if he pushed dark after I checked dark.

why would you call dark if he is all in? this is the worst flop you could see if you looked though.

not when the flop comes? what do you think people go all in dark with? some randon KQ/AK/KK/QQ hands take up a huge range. although we beat Aq/JJ.
