    Hi

I went to a fairy fort the other day - It was at the foot of Knocknashee. I stood in it and made a wish. Later when I came home I was exhausted, as if I had walked for 10 miles (I hadn't). Lying in bed that night I felt amazing energy circling my legs and I felt like my aura was completely refreshed.
I am quite a spiritual person so am aware of energies but I am just wondering would this reaction have been from the fairy fort?

Ok well if something happens then someone should remove a sod from it and document what happens. Sounds like a good experiement, one I might do myself.

    Oooooo... freaky...

I was flying over from Bristol to Shannon on Monday afternoon and it really is surprising how many fairy forts remain intact... it's very noticable these days with the fields being stripped... I counted 4 in one field alone... that's a big bag of fairies ;)

As for your experiment 6th - off you trot to Clonmel - there seems to be a vast abundance of them down there.. Don't forget to get a wireless connection so you can keep us up to date :p

with regard to fairy forts, i remember being told of the location of one, under a watertower, by my grandmother, every time i passed it the wind grew stronger, and to be honest, i never knew of anyone brave enough to check it out. im now in my mid thirties, and i still feel a vibration coming from the location , any time i pass by , once or twice a year!!!

I don't have experiences with fairy forts, but my mother told me once that my great grandmother was supposedly 'taken by the fairies' when she was a young child. She was out playing in what was apparantly a well known enchanted fairy field ( I think it was called 'slo field' because of the slo berries that grew there) when she went missing. There was a huge search on involving many people, which lasted into the night. Her mother went to bed exhausted and distraught, but when she woke up, the little girl was asleep beside her in the bed. No one could understand how she had gotten back unnoticed. When they questioned her, she said all she remembered was being held over a burning bush by 'little men', who said she 'wasn't suitable' -- those were the exact words the child used.

Just thought I'd share the story with you guys, seeing as this thread is on a similar subject.
