Claire's power is rapid cell regeneration

Aging is caused when the rate of death of cells exceeds the growth rate. This couldnt really happen with Claire, so she should grow, but never Age.

But what abt sickness/disease? Could she die of say, cancer or Aids??? AFAIK her power only heals physical damage, nothin else has been said really

Well now.. considering its just a TV show, albeit an excellent one... i doubt they thought that far ahead yet... This question is very Star trek like... Trekkies like to ask all kinds of scientific questions and infer certain things that are simply not thought of by the producers as its still just a tv show to them :D

I seem to remember us discussing her hymen in depth in a thread in the early days of the forum...

I can't remember what conclusion we came to on that one.

hahaha... im in bits laughing while typing this.

Thats a good question. Although as pointed out its just a tv show. With every super hero there is always the impossible question.

Superman: His people are all super and can all travel at the speed of light and assuming they do, it must make his everyday life totally painstakingly slow. Every minute must seem like a lifetime etc etc etc

Eh, isn't his power on earth because of our yellow sun? (or something like that)

As far as i remember we decided on decapatation because we already know incineration does not work, however if peter took her power and he can surive a nuke one would wonder how both of them would handle losing a limb or decapitation, but until we see it we can assume that they can not grow new body parts like lizards they only seem to have rapid healing

I think if she or Peter were decapitated, they would regen if someone held their head to their neck, and their brain shud work grand

I think bein dissolved in acid or havin the brain damaged past function is the only way to permo kill them

Cos when Claire was raped, she came back to life when the twig was pulled from her brain [same with Peter and the glass shard]

And her body parts usually heal when she puts them back in their normal place, like pushin her ribs back in, or foldin her chest skin back together

And BTW, LMAO at the Hymen comment :p

Hymen - She will be damned to have to play the Madonna song "Like a Virgin" during intercourse her entire life.

Limb and Head loss - Tricky. Reminds me of Dragonball Z - those dudes did a lot of freaky **** like that - regrowing heads and arms and probably in one case a body from just a head.

Aging - Well she will reach full maturity but as for the actual aging process on the other side of the hill who knows. I imagine though, that both her and Wolverine are doomed to the same old-age fate.

My hypothetical theory is that at some stage wether it be 100 years from now claire's regenerating cells will exhibit mutation (like cancer) at the genetic level at some late stage. Eventually her ability to regenerate would diminish.
