Ha ha remember this? Saw that All Saints thing on TV3 a while ago and I thought..."that hospital manager is the evil guy from Girl From Tomorrow!"

Anywho, bring back any memories??? Ah, travelling in the Hexagon, weird bands around their heads......*sniff*

I remember this program but don't remember much of the storylin apart from magic headbands, some dodgy bloke (in your picture above) hunting her down for the headband, and some teleporting gate? Did a video/supermarket shop have anything to do with this as well?

:confused::confused: I dunno. I just remember the show from the pictures.

I got the tape a few months ago. I had forgotten alot of it and wanted to find out what happened in the end and well its retro. The "bad guy" was Silverthorn from the year 2500 who wanted to steal the time capsule for his own means. :)
Alana (girl from tomorrow and very cute indeed), lived with the Kellys after Jenny Kelly found Alana. They owned a small shop.

"Found" it online last year and watched the first 2 episodes for old times sake.

Man, it hasn't aged well at all.... (Neither has silverthorn!)

I got the dvd last year. It's a classic show! I loved it. Great storyline for a kid's show.

Ah jaysus, I remember that show. For some reason, it used to be shown in the summer months (if I remember correctly)

I have to admit that I also thought she was cute.

Am I right in saying that they (the group from 1990 and herself) went to the 25th century to stop a nucleur war, and that the future girl's armband self-destructed to stop a nuke being detonated in the southern hemisphere (while the northern hemisphere got destroyed :D )

For some reason, I think it happened near the end of the series (although I could be wrong)

    Still I enjoyed that show.

Ah yes, this popped into my head while reading the round the twist thread. What did the dots on her face do?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,683 ✭✭✭✭Owen

Yup, remember the transducer well. I used to think Alana was cute too. There's a girl in Cork who was the head off her, scored her one night and told her she looked like the 'Girl from Tomorrow', which ended that quick sharp. She screamed "I'm sick of guys telling me that!". So, Danielle, if you're still out there, I guess there was just a lot of pre-teen Irish nerds at the time!

Loved the show though, it was about as much Sci-Fi as RTE had shown in years.

Yep thought she was cute too. I think I was getting too
old for shows like that when it came out and thought the show
was crap but watched it as I loved time travel shows and
liked the way the Jenny wan had Purple Hair.
There was a 2nd Series of it I think.

Around that time also there was another Auzzy series that involved Kids
that was like Mad Max style where they were all in gangs it may have been
    called Tribes.

I love Google Images, I typed in Girl From Tomorrow's actress's name "Katherine Cullen austrailia" (I spelled australia wrong) and then I got this...

    dsfsdfzx8.jpg

Is it just me or did she used to be a lot cuter looking? Meh, not as bad as the time I typed in "Sooty", as in the yellow puppet, into Google Images to which I was greeted by Goatse (I'm sure someone knows of this, yuck!)

There's loads of clips on youtube, including the last episode where Alana defeats Silverthorn.
