I've looked through the forum but can't really find anything on hotels.
I'm looking for a recommendation for a good hotel in south Dublin for a reception.
Has anyone got any good suggestions.

    cheers.

Is Enniskerry too far out? If not, Summerhill House is a great venue.

Have to agree with Eoin, went to a wedding in Summerhill House last October and could not find a fault with it, bride and groom were very happy also.

Cheers guys, A third person has even recommended the Summerhill House, so I'll have to go take a look.
    Anyone else got any suggestions?

There was a place in Stillorgan we were going to look at, but they can only cater for weddings of 100 or so. Can't remember the name for the life of me though, I'll see if I have it bookmarked somewhere.

Your best bet really is to go to all the wedding directory sites and have brochures sent out for the ones that grab you.

    Edit:

    here's the place - caters for 130

Just Bumping this in case someone else has a suggestion.
I've Tried the Radisson in Stillorgan (But it's a bit pricey for us). Also Summerhill House, is booked out for Fri/Sat next summer, as is the Glenview. My brother is getting married is Stillorgan Park Hotel this year so that's kinda ruled out.

I'm looking for a Hotel rather than a restaurant but thanks for suggestions so far. Oh yeah I'm looking for July/Aug/Sept of next year.

The Radisson is much more of a business than wedding hotel anyway.

Killiney Castle (Fitzpatricks) isn't bad, nice function room there. Was only there for an afters, so don't know what the food is like.

Yeah Funny that, I was just onto fitzpatricks, and they have every Sat in Aug available next year, so I'll have to pop out and take a look.
    Thanks again Eoin.

Fitzpatrick's did a reception after my daughter's christening and was very good. The staff are excellent there as well. I'm going to a wedding there next week so I'll let you know what it is like.

the Royal Marine hotel in Dun Laoghaire reopens soon and we have booked it for ours in July. It is still a bit of a building site, but the plans look great. By next year it should be a really good place.

I will agree with the people before. The summerhill in enniskerry is lovely my sisters wedding was there ! I would recommend it to anyone! They book up for saturdays or sundays up to 2 years in advance tho so get onto it asap! They offered her a weekday at a very resonable price which was tempting if thats an option for anyone!

Kiliney castle is good my sisters friend had hers there its pricier then summerhill i think but they do sometimes do 2 weddings in one day which I wouldnt like myself! Hope it helps!
