    Just a quick query,does anyone know the chances of succsesfully reovering your licence after a year if you appeal?Cheers

    What offence were you convicted for and what district court/judge was it?

    Do you mean apply under s.29 of the 1961 act to have the disqualification removed rather than appeal? Because a year is a bit of a long time to wait to appeal a conviction.

    Small bit of a hijack here. Where exactly do you find out about a previous disqualification. Say if someone was disqualified, how do they find out when the actual disqualification expires, and how soon can things be put in motion, ie. is there a 3 or 4 week wait or anything like that?

    Does one go to the Gardai (who it was surrendered to) to request it back, or to the district court that disqualified it?
