Ipoker Note Taking and Player Searches

I find the note taking on ipoker useless, theres no room to write anything and for some reason i cant scroll through the notes. Is there any alternative programs that allow you to keep track of players?

Also when you add someone to your buddy list how can you find them afterwards. If they show up at my table i can see there buddied but i cant find the list which shows all my buddies ive added over time so i can search if they are playing today?

Use the left scroll to find "players at the bottom" and click it.


Then to search buddies click the box and hit search.

i use PPP and its the same, even when i tick the only buddies box. Nothing still appears.

I take copius notes on players in GJP. I dont find I have any trouble with space. Just keep typing and let it scroll, when you come back to look at it it will be wrapped into the box for you.

Maybe im using it wrong, when i type in a note it wraps grand. But its a big note the scroll option appears when i hover over the players name however when i move the mouse up and away from the players name to click on the scroll bar the text box disappears. Then the only way i can get to see the rest of the text is clicking on players name while the box is showing and it goes into edit mode and then the text is no longer wrapped and i have to scroll right across the box to see the rest of the text


Thanks Roadsweeper, Chucky when you click the Buddies Only checkbox leave the search field blank and then click search and wait a minute, any buddies you have will appear that are online.

The note taking on GJP is horrific.

on ipoker to read the notes if they have a scroll bar you need to click on the players name (so it brings you into note taking mode) and then you can scroll at will

to be fair to you it's not at all obvious, luckily I had someone point the buddy search thing out to me a while back. Anyway it works fine once you know how to use it.

The note taking is flaky imo too.

Ipoker isn't bad once you get used to it but still there's lots of niggly things in it that could do with sorting imo.

Dev maybe you help so. When i type a note of say a reasonable length that it wont all fit in the box when i hover over their name. Then when it dosent all fit in the box a scroll bar appears on the right side of the wrapped text. However if i move my mouse away from the players name towards the scroll bar the note disappears. If i click on the players name then the text becomes unwrapped and it goes into edit mode where all the text is on one line. The only way i can read the rest of the text is to scroll across the text a small bit at a time which makes it very awkward to read especially if im pressed for time.

Surely there is a way to activate the scroll bar in text wrap mode rather than have to scroll in edit mode. Im sure its something simple im missing?

Ok, I see what you mean. I use a very short handed form of note taking so I have never run into that before.

Firstly I'd like to point out that that happens for all skins.

Secondly I'd like to point out that the way they have implemented that is as dumb as bricks.

I will fire off a message to support but while iPoker are actually not too bad for fixing stuff and listening to us (compared to Tribeca... who basically, didn't)... this might not reach their urgent list.

Slightly OT: when you top up at a table, it automatically unchecks auto post blinds. This is kind of annoying because the time you are given to post is not very long so you end up getting timed out, then you press auto post again and it posts OOP. Also when you sit down at a table and you select wait for BB and then click auto post, it posts OOP too.

i think this happens when you top up your chips
maybe im wrong.

Thanks Dev. I noticed that too about the auto post thing but because i always have above the max it very rarely affects me:D I wish

Autoposting and reloading doesn't seem to be implemented logically in any software i've ever played on.

yeh if you reload in ipoker, it deselects your 'auto post blinds' box, not a big issue, but in an ideal world it wouldnt happen

And I agree the autopost upon reload feature needs to be looked at

Yip, definitely another annoying niggly thing, (not that I ever need to top up of course :rolleyes:) especially when playing 3 or 4 tables.
