    Hi,
As the title, I'm trying to connect 3ohm Speakers into a 6ohm Amp. The speakers are Sony, 3ohm's, and the Amp is a Yamaha RX-V359. I'm wondering will it harm the speakers, or the amp, if I plug the 3ohm speajers into the 6ohm amp?

Oh, and in case anyone is wondering, the speaker wire's are below the floor, so we'd prefer if they worked with the amp.

There are some suggestions here on how to make the speakers appear the correct impedance to the amp.

The amp you specify generates its stated power output into 6ohm speakers.
It can - according to it's manual work into impedences from 2 to 8 ohms. However the power output increases with lower impeadences so be sure you watch the levels. So to answer your question, yes those speaker should be ok as long as you watch the levels.

Also 3 ohms is a very unusual rating for a speaker, is that what's actually printed on them or is that what you measured into them ? Can you give the model numbers ?
