Hi All sorry if this has been asked and answered before couldn't find it.
Can someone explain to me how to copy something from your sky+ on to a DVD? Does the programme have be playing on the TV at the time? Have tried it a few times but then the DVD won't play on any other DVD player other than the one we have recorded it on/copied it to?

    Thanks for any info.

did you check that the other dvd players can play as DVD +RW etc, or whatever format DVD you recorded on. A lot of the cheaper models (not as well known brands) may not be able to play DVD +RW, DVD +R etc.

If the dvd is playing on the machine you copied it to, then you have the process of getting it from Sky box to dvd sorted

You might have to finalise the disc. When you record on to the DVD it is left "open" so that you record further material on to it. When it is finalised you cannot record any more on to the DVD and it becomes playable on other DVD players. Your DVD manual should tell you ho to do this.
