Elder based booze

I've a few elders in the garden which are currently in flower so I assume the berries will follow soon enough. Going on the amount of flowers I reckon I'll have a bumper crop of fruit. Any tips on turning these into booze and is it worth the effort?

I have heard good things about Elderberry Wine.

A quick google brought up “Paul's Elderberry Page” here: http://www.patch-work.demon.co.uk/elder.htm which seems to have some good ideas for what to do with your elderberries.

Elderflower/berry are amazing lil things. I went to an Elder farm in Sweden and it's amazing all the stuff you can make. I've no idea how they did it, but the possibilities are great: berry jam, flower jam, berry cordial, flower cordial ... um... I think they had some wines too... but the elder flower cordial is where the magic happens.
