Origami kit - where to buy in Dublin?

I wanted to get a mini origami kit for a friend and need it in the next two weeks. However, the only website I could find one on said it needs 28 days for delivery

Has anybody seen this or anything similar in Dublin city centre recently? I'm going to try Easons and the Art and Hobby shop in Stephen's Green but any other suggestions would be great!

How about getting a cube of coloured paper (like the ones you put beside the phone for messages-just make sure they're not Post-Its). You can get Origami books in plenty of places around the city. Put it all into a nice box with some markers for drawing on features such as eyes/faces/etc?

I've seen these lovely origami kits recently in Muji, Chatham St, Dublin 2. Hope this helps!

Hi all! I was looking for origami paper myself yesterday in town and found they have origami kits in Jervis Centre 1st floor: 3 different models of the same brand (less than €10 each) and a last item of a different one (around €15). They all seemed to be for kids.

I couldn't find the paper though. Tried Jervis Centre, St Stephens Green, Easons, Reads and other places but nobody stocks them (some used to). Any ideas where I can get it please?

    Thanks!

Did you check Muji, as mentioned above? I've seen origami paper there recently.

Thanks for that. I was there last Saturday. They had small paper but not the bigger one (15*15 cm). I ended up buying one of the kits with 100 15*15 sheets and some instructions for €4.50. I thought it was a bit dear for what you get, but that's life...

I had a similar experience in April of this year. I needed origami paper for an art project. I wanted to use the sheets of paper with beautiful designs. I looked everywhere in dublin and couldn't order on line because i needed it within one week. I was only short of contacting the Japanese embasy ( if there is one here?) when I decided to ask a friend from the states to post some over which she willingly did. Imagine my surprise when i walked into a charity shop the next day to look for books and found a packet of the most beautiful origami paper sitting on top of a bric a brac basket. so problem solved. However, I think somebody would do well to start importing a selection of origami paper.
