    Folks,

Just want to recommend a website.

    http://www.autopia-carcare.com/

I purchased ~10 items from them last week. They are based in the states and I got delivery in 4 days. Prices were good. Shipping was costly enough ~€50 but when you order a few items it isn't too bad.

*** I have no affiliation with website*** Just a happy customer

    Mike.

yeah, they seem to get great reviews everywhere... Its difficult to get quality waxes/polishes in your average motor accessory shop around here.
I've been very tempted to look into getting one of those PC machine polishers on that site, supposed to be great for removing swirls and scratches.

I second whats been said I got a PC polisher & Sonus pads off them in March and the service was excellent. They have great range of quality polishes and waxes.

I got the Porter Cable Polisher, some Sonus Pada, Clay Bar and lube and a few other items as well... Just looking for some good weather now to use them!!!
Have to get a small traffo too for the PC as it is 110V.....

You need to get a heavy duty transformer (car battery size & weight), a new plug and an extention cable, so reckon on another 125 quid or so. The pc is a power tool not a shaver.

You also would have been better holding off, as Autopia have a better polisher on its way and set up too for the European electrical system.

That's very interesting to hear Tom... that was the one thing putting me off, the fact you need a transformer, etc to operate it on irish juice!
Looks like that ultimatedetailing site is very much a work in progress though

They had more info on it on the UDM site some time back. The same people who own Autopia or The Perfect Shine are the ones behind it, so it's not dubious or anything - Although yes, the present site doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. Autopia use to have a large selection but nowadays it is quite limited. Their competitors in the States have a better and more diverse range. Unfortunately, USPS shipping is expensive and especially if customs here catch the parcel and add on another 25-30%.

These machine polishes are all well and good but they are no guarantee of success. Correcting paint swirls and scratches is far more difficult, than some might seem to suggest.
