How do I get this to remember programs are OK by me and not ask me every time I run the same programs?

    Thanks

    Gavin

I know I can just turn it off but alot of sites seem to think that its a big security risk?

Also when I have it off I keep getting a Windows Security Warning telling me its disabled and I'm about to get HAX0RED

how could it be a security risk? it was never on a previous version of windows and the world didn't end. it's a pointless app.

are you logging on with an admin account? or one with admin privileges? the best option would be to use a standard user accounts and disable UAC.

UAC is really intended for less computer savy users, if you know your stuff then you can turn it off though it will prompt less the longer you use the computer as initial setup/install of new software/drivers is what triggers the most prompts.

With it turned off the remaining warning can be turned off by going into the control panel\security centre where you can choose between no prompts at all or a red shield in the systray. Be aware that no prompts at all will not warn you if anything happens to your anti-virus/spyware or firewall software.

I have had it off since day 1,but to stop getting harrassed by the security center, just click on the "Change the way the security center alerts me" on the left side of the security center.
