    Hey,

Does anyone know where I might find reasonably cheap Gillette blades (mach 3, turbo, power, whatever)?

I've seen stuff on ebay, but I'm very wary about buying stuff there.

    Any ideas?

    [edit]
Or can anyone recommend an 'tried & trusted' ebay user

Got them from ebay twice, fake in both cases, even than 1 of them sold lots of them and most of the feedback was positive, about a couple of weeks after I got them the feedback was all negative with the same reason FAKE.

There was a similar post a few weeks ago you can try searching and see what they said, from what I remember there were no bargains around and people recommended a couple of alternatives (Lidl was 1 of them).

    Regards

I have no faith in Lidl/Aldi products, same goes for Dunnes/Tescos own brand. Mostly because I've had bad experience with them.

I've got pretty sensitive skin & using disposables always brings out a burning rash, even when I use moisteurisers.

One thing I've noticed (since first living with women years ago), is shaving in the shower. Very, very rarely do I get a cut & I don't use anything on my face then. Might be to do with all the steam.

Not a great bargain really... but I got a 12 pack of Gillette Mach 3 blades (regular not 'Turbo') for €17 in Boots. They seem pretty much the same as the, more expensive, "Turbo" edition.

I bought 4 (ordinary) mach 3's on ebay on May 18th from stuboy19750, received them on May22nd.

The total cost was 5.74euro including postage. On ebay, he quoted p&p as £1.20 - the mail sticker was for £1.19.

Haven't used em yet, but will reply whether I think they are the real deal or not.

Loads of fake blades on the go around the markets and stall sellers, i have bought some off e-bay , fakes, no shave comfort to them at all.
I also bought some around the ilac centre off the stall holders at xmas, fake also .
Be carfeul what you are buying, normally it if seems too good to be true,it normally is, and you will be had

    I got a bunch from purfumeireland.com before
    http://www.perfumeireland.com/individual_product.php?product=19873

    they had a good deal

    I got some mach3turbos,

    but I'm not sure if
    they were fake,
just aren't as good quality any more (someone suggested that they reduce the blade quality when a 'new' product is introduced, ie. fusion), or
in comparison to my fusion blade which I got as a gift they just weren't as good and so my judgement 'barometer' changed

    so

I had a shave with one of these blades this morning. The last day I shaved was Thursday morning. I've got absolutely no complaints to make, so pretty sure these are the real deal.

Just wondering if this is a very term saving?? Will the fusion blades not cost and arm & leg in the long run?

    Hi all,
I originally posted a new thread for this but can I hell find it now. Maybe I should have done a search beforehand and re-started this one instead!!

Anyhow, I placed an order with www.razorsuk.com on Thursday July 30th for 16 blades. Came to a grand total of £12.00, approx. €18.00. They arrived today and look like the gnuine articles. Will try them out and post results back up here.

Anybody used these guys before? If all is well when I use them it means that there are BIG savings to be had compared to buying them in the shope here.

    Cheers,
    M

Update: Opened some of them up, box and platic thingy they are in looks like the real deal! I have a genuine one so took a look at it and the word "Gillette" is on the razor unit itself, just above the clip. On the ones I just bought no word "Gillette" appears....things are not looking good :-(

The way i notice recently whethere they are fakes or not is if you look under the bottom of the box, there should be gillette information .On the fakes there isnt ,its just all silver cardboard base with no writing.
I could be totally wrong but i compared a few packets of real and fakes and thats the only difference i could spot on the outside. !

There is Gillette information on the bottom of the ones I got.

The aul wuns on Thomas Street sell them cheap on the stalls and they are real as well, basically the junkies sell them to the aul wuns after robbing them in order to get money for their poisonous gear and thy aul wuns sell them on to punters for cheap so everyone's happy.
