scart block?

I bought a scart block ages ago so I could hook up a number of devices at once without having to fiddle around at the back of my TV every time I wanted to change the input... the one I got, however, is pretty useless and only has two working ports - one for a scart and another for a composite connection... and even at that the one in the composite point has slightly darker picture than it normally would once the other scart is plugged in (and no, the other device is not switched on at the same time).

Can anyone recommend me a decent one with maybe 5 scart connections on it that actually works? I'd be looking to hook up a DVB box, xbox, wii and n64, if that makes any difference.

Or maybe someone might know what's wrong with the block I have - it has buttons along the side but they don't do anything so it's not like I've had the wrong one pressed in etc.

I got a silver one in Argos a while ago with 4 scart connections and two composite. It has buttons at the side as well. Works perfectly.
