How often do you clean/descale your coffee machine?

I was just ordering some Puly Baby Descaler online and I thought
I'd see what the general consensus round here is on how often you'd
    clean your machines.

I live in an area with good quality tapwater, no worries about limescale,
and I'd use the machine for 8-10 shots a day. I'm cleaning mine about
    once a month.

So how dirty (or clean) a bunch you lot are? :D

I'm also blessed with good water. There's never any build up on any of the appliances so it's the last option in your polll for me :o Dirty begger i am

I have an inline filter on my machine, so I descale once every 2-3 months, but I give the outside of it a good clean weekly....keep it looking shiny. :)

I use filtered water with mine, so I clean it every few months.
which reminds me, it's due a clean again.

Clean (as in backflush) weekly without fail.

Almost never descale though, just always use Volvic water. Which means I've messed up your poll results 'cos I only read the thread title not the actual poll title. Oops, sorry ;)

It is probably more prone to scaling than normal Irish tap water so, scale comes from the minerals in water, and you are using "mineral" water full of the stuff!

Usually clean my coffee machine every 2 or 3 months, depending on how much use it has gotten.

No, Volvic is the one to use - have a read here.

Whatever you do don't use that Lidl stuff tho.. it has rocks in it :)
