I've been on boards for a good while, and this is honestly one of the friendliest, most open and most helpful forums you'll find here. However it works both ways; you came on here and posted the same request 3 times across three different threads, which is considered pretty rude. Also, it's a public forum, so posters were probably dubious about posting up information about someone on the internet.

I'm not saying any of this stuff to be harsh, but rather to explain to you why you got the reaction that you did, and why it may have come across as 'anti-social'. Don't go away in a pissy mood just because of what was said; read some more of the threads, take part in more discussions, and then decide whether you want to stick around or not.

ooooh not at all. A pox has been placed upon your house. or something. It's hardly courteous to ask the same stalkery question numerous times. Do you want a sticky for it? if you want to find someone just try to remember folk that you knew that knew who you knew and work from there. Every **** on this pissing planet is apparently connected to every other **** through a network of six ****ers. Now the best way to find this human you seek is to bear that in mind. This does seem like a quest or something. Does she owe you money or something?

    no Ed
Actually i was trying to do her a kindness. Somebody she cared about is very ill and time is a problem. Obviously this forum is not going to be of any help. When it is a serious matter, it may warrant posting the query a few times - hope it didnt put too many of you out - its not considered rude in or profession. Im sure I will have no trouble - it was just a shot in the dark - not a crime. Obviously if I had beenable to locate her through contacts, I would not be looking here. the reaction is way over the top on this blog. Good luck to all with exams. hope the sun stays shining when you are all finished. Bye

What you could Try is to contact the Trinity Alumni foundation and Ask to to pass on a message if they have her details.

Thanks a lot Agent - have given Ms. Kelso at Alumni the request so maybe she will be lucky. bad time of year to be tracking down any students i guess. thanks a lot anyway. I will drop it here as its apparently considered 'rude' but thanks for the help. Enjoy the summer!

Just did a quick google for you, found this:

Emma Guinan is engaged and is currently completing her professional training as a solicitor in Dublin.

Can't find anything else, and I don't know off the top of my head where you'd find a listing of solicitors in dublin. Not even sure where a listing of solicitors (individual ones) are on the net, but perhaps someone else will be able to help with that.

    Where's ratemysolicitor.com when you need it? :)

The Law Society of Ireland maintains a list of solicitors and apprentices. If she is currently an apprentice, then she'll still be a registered student at the Law School in Blackhall PLace. It's highly unlikely, though, that they will release her contact information to you directly. You might try writing to (a) The Law Society Gazette (they may publish your letter) or (b) to the Law School, who may be able to pass on your request for contact and then leave it up to her to decide whether or not to contact you back.
