Several days ago I noticed this European Cargo A246 coming into Shannon.

Today, when I just happened to have my camera to hand, I noticed it again. I thought it very odd that it had it's undercarriage down at this stage of it's approach, when other aircraft never do.

On looking at the images in more detail, I'm now wondering if it was in for maintenance and if this wasn't some sort of check flight, because it appears to me that the central main bogie is tilted forward, rather than backward as is more usual.

Also saw a German military A400M heading for Shannon. I saw another several weeks ago. This one was coming from Stavanger Sola airport in Norway.

First time seeing them in the flesh today, I'm still not sure if it was an actual revenue flight or just advertising, but the 787 looks well in these colours
