Office Update

    I seem to be having a bit of trouble with updating my Office 2003. 13 updates are coming up on the automatic updates but they will not install. They are all coming up as failed. I am having a bit of trouble with Office 2003 anyway. I can use it with no problems, but when another user on the PC wants to use office, it runs the install programme every time any of the office packages are opened.

    I am thinking about reinstalling Office on my machine to see if it will solve the problem. As you all know, Office 2003 has to be activated online, but can i activate the same product key a second time?

    Another question, how do I find out what product key I originally used? I can't seem to find the CD cover. :o

    Try a reboot of your computer. It might come up with install updates while shutting down. If not a re-install should help. I have used the same key numerous times to re-install when having problems or just doing a fresh format.

    To find the key you might be able to get it from The Help tab in Word. Go to Help > About Microsoft Word. Not sure if it is there but you might find something.

    Download and run those three microsoft patches, reboot and try office update / http://update.microsoft.com again

    Thanks, that clears the svchost issue, but what about Microsoft Office? I have the product key. Can I reinstall office and activate the same product key again or will I need a new product key?
