Was Knights of Prosperity any good? It had a vaguely interesting premise.

It got good reviews and ABC execs loved it. They held back the remaining episodes in hope of launching it this season with Ray Romano but they couldn't reach a deal with the cast or Romano. At least According to Jim is gone but they are unleashing Cavemen on us.

Only ones I've actually seen and are all crap except maybe According to Jim if you have a dirty hang over and the only signs brain functions you have is controlling the farting so it doesn't go one step further

    I didn't watch any of them, I don't care ;)

I'm bewildered at the fact ABC is dropping According to Jim. I mean, it may not be the greatest comedy show ever, but it has an incredibly solid audience that is very loyal to it. And the ratings have been very good for years now. They even recently put repeats of it in the place of Lost repeats, which were apparantly doing awful.

Most of all, I want According to Jim to continue so I can still watch the very sexy Kimberly Williams-Paisley strut her stuff. Ever since her appearance in Father of the Bride, she has had a special place in my pants.

Although I do hear that ABC might use it mid season with a small 13 episode final series just in case its schedule dies a death come September.

I do find myself laughing at TV3's misfortune. First they come out with Studio 60, thinking it will be just as popular as The West Wing, but instead proves a major turnoff. Then Jericho, the 'new' Lost dissappears without a trace and now gets cancelled.

Did any shows TV3 buy last year get picked up?

Maybe but the first 12 or so were pretty awful and most people, including me, had stopped watching by then.

Anyway 'Jerico' is done by CBS and they haven't announced their lineup. I think that's today.

Excusing me - 'Jericho' is indeed dead.

Also now fallen is 'Veronica Mars'. Based on the third season, it's no bad thing but based on the premise of the fourth, it's a bit of a shame. Oh well, I guess this is one I can live with.

Jericho, The Black Donnellys & Six Degrees I was watching, and will miss. Some of the others I was also watching, Raines, Day Break and Kidnapped, but don't really mind about.

Just looking back on this years new shows and it's amazing the amount that have been cancelled. The one's (that I can remember) I started watching from the announcements this time last year, and are now gone, were:
runaway, kidnapped, vanished, six degrees, jericho, black donnellys, raines, justice, day break, smith & the nine (though I did stop watching that one). Drive was another recent addition, and subtraction within two weeks, that I liked. Stupid American Networks, they only renew stupid crap like dancing on ice with stars and funny home videos

Only Dexter and Heroes have survived.

I think this year I'll only start watching if the show makes it past six episodes without being pulled from the schedule. There were a lot finished out on the web this year, and others that just simply stopped. Not worth investing time in getting into a story if it's never going to finish.

I was watching Raines for the first few weeks, but I personally cancelled it then. Andy Barker P.I was great! How dare they cancel it? Studio 60 is a shame, I really liked that. Couldn't care less about the others.

I was an absolutely dreadful year for serieseses. Not a single one came out this year whose passing I'd mourn. Tiny bit disappointed about Studio 60 and TKOP, but meh.
I think I'll go write, produce, direct and star in my own series, get TG4 to commission it and wait for the syndication dollars to roll in.

AFAIK Studio 60 is due back next week to round up the final six episodes of the one and only season. NBC website plugging it. Pity to see it go.

I will really miss the Black Donnellys, was enjoying that. It really started to get good since they pulled it and it was only available from their website.

I have just started to watch Traveler, and the pilot looked good, Mind you that was last week, and we have to wait until the 30th on May for the second episode.

Veronica Mars is essentially dead, sadly. I love that show.

Hers is what Michael Ausiello asked CW president Dawn Ostroff:

12:13 Upfront over. Press conference assembling. Stand by for the final word on Veronica Mars! My heart is racing!

12:28 First question, asked by me: "Is Veronica dead?"

12;29 OK, here it is in a nutshell, per dawn ostroff. Veronica Mars is dead. But, and there is a but, she says she's "talking to Rob and Kristen" about doing something else. She's not calling it a spin-off, and wouldn't say whether it would feature the character of Veronica. Translation; I'm as confused as ever!

12:33 I will try and get more clarification on this. Please stand by...

12:36 OK, a reporter just asked a VM follow-up — and Dawn continues to dodge. She says they're discussing "an idea," but adds, "I don't think it's going to happen."

12;47 The press conference is over. I tackle dawn just as she tries to escape and I ask her to level with me. Is Veronica dead? "Veronica Mars is over, but we're talking about something else. I don't know if it's going to be anything. I'm being honest with you. It could come back in some form, but I don't know what form that would be." She confirmed that the deadline to make a decision is "somewhere around" the June 15 date i referred to previously. Long story short: mystery still not solved!

12:53 Heading back to the office to bang my head against the wall.

Lads honestly, for any of you who have not seen The Black Donnellys I recommend watching it. It was the best show I have ever seen. I can't believe they cancelled it. I'm absolutely gutted. :(

Surprised about Thank God You're Here, the Australian version is great. Reckon its a format RTE or TV3 should pick up, given that every 3rd person in Ireland is a stand-up comedian, according to the last census...

Any one know about "Sleeper Cell" on showtime?.
I don't know if the'll continue with a Season 3 but i hope they do. Its a brill show, very gripping and relevant to whats goin on in the world now.

The Showtime web site does not allow access from ireland. i wonder if any of our american buddies know whats goin on?.

There's going to be no third season apparently. They just decided not to renew it. Oh well.

Dawn Ostroff is a fecking bitch. She has absolutely no skill when it comes to running a TV station. She basically ran UPN into the ground when it was on air, routinely cancelled popular shows simply so next season she could target different demographics. I've seen it time and again with her. She is simply retarded.

Why they ever gave her top job at The CW is beyond me. And Veronica Mars was such a popular show amongst demographics that didn't watch much of anything else on The CW. I read an interview with her in which she wanted to be a role model for her kids, and demonstrate that women can rise to the top. Well, Veronica Mars is one of the strongest female role models on televison right now. Far more so than the insipped Grey's Anatomy folks or those innumerable teen dramas that clog up most of The CW schedule.
